Our Story
After having an unsuccessful well drilled on his property, Rene Bernard, a Prince George local, was interested in the process and felt this was something he could do for others.
Rene started working with a local well driller for several years before eventually buying out the business. Bernard Drilling was born and has been drilling safe, high quality water wells in Prince George and the surrounding area ever since.

We’re a Family Business
Rene is mostly retired now, but his son, Lorne Bernard started drilling with him in 1991 and never stopped. There’s no way to learn like on the job. Today, Lorne runs the business in his father’s place.
Bernard Drilling is a genuine multi-generational operation. Lorne’s son even started working for the business in 2022 and will take it over one day himself.
